Sweet Apple Annie
She was a beauty in her day
A real glam doll I’d say
Her looks took a toll
But didn’t touch her beautiful soul
From her tree she does pick
Apples with her stick
To the park she speeds
With her apples and seeds
Feeding her friends gives her such delight
Spreading to all God’s love and light
Apple Annie has a painted body and a calico skirt with rosey colored roses. Her arms and legs are sewn on with buttons so they can be moved. She is a sitting doll so her knees are bent. She carries a handmade jute basket with paperclay apples. Her hair is washed sheep's wool that has been felted on underneath her osnburg hat which was painted a rosey color to match her dress.
