This is a primitive Amish couple, Mr. and Mrs. Yoder made from a pattern by Kim Kohler.
Mr. Yoder is 31" tall from the top of his hat to the bottom of his feet. Mrs. Yoder is 29" tall. His hat, coat and pants are made from osnaburg which have been painted with acrylic paint and sanded then stained. Mrs. Yoder's dress is made from muslin. Both dolls have been painted black, then sanded, then coffee stained. Their noses are sculpted and their eyes and mouths have been painted on. Mrs. Yoder has a bouquet of sweet annie and Mr. Yoder has a sprig of sweet annie pinned to his lapel.
